Nigeria Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, a senior lecturer at Kogi State University in Anyigba, passed away in a hotel room following a sexual encounter with a 22-year-old student.
The Anyigba Police Division was notified of the incident, which happened on Tuesday, July 15, and they immediately arrested the student involved so they could question him, according to a report by SaharaReporters.
Known for sexually abusing female students in exchange for grades, the lecturer was considered one of the most severe at the university.
On the day of the incident, Dr. Ibikunle, a married father of children, reportedly checked into a hotel with a female student who was in her second year of social studies education.
The lecturer reportedly drank several energy drinks prior to the meeting, presumably in anticipation of a high-intensity activity, according to sources.
