Rocky Dawuni once said, “I want music to be my legacy, not fame.”

Rocky Dawuni, a Ghanaian musician who has received multiple Grammy nominations, claims that making music that has an impact rather than pursuing fame has always been his life’s work.
The Afro-roots legend stated on Thursday night’s Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Starr 103.5 FM that his objective since he was a young child was to use music as a tool for legacy and purpose rather than for personal fame.
“You know, I wanted to make something. I was someone who wanted to be this since I was a young child. Therefore, rather than necessarily being famous and a star, I wanted the music to be my legacy in the end. It isn’t a legacy.
Dawuni gave a direct response when host Bola Ray inquired as to whether he had ever pursued fame:
“It’s a consequence of my work,
