East Legon Executive Club denies Kofi Boat’s alleged membership after his arrest
The prominent East Legon Executive Club has formally refuted the pervasive rumors that it has members who are troubled businessman Isaac Kofi Oduro Boateng, better known as Kofi Boat.
According to a report published by well-known entertainment blogger Eugene Osafo-Nkansah, better known by his stage name Nkonkonsa, Kofi Boat was never a formal member of the esteemed social and fitness organization. This comes after rumors circulated on social media that, before his recent arrest, he had close ties to the club.
Nkonkonsa was allegedly informed by the East Legon Executive Club, which was established by business magnate Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, that the accusations were untrue.
According to the club, Kofi Boat has never belonged to the East Legon Executive Club. The assertions made by former UTV host Afia Schwarzenegger and others that Kofi Boat was a member of the well-known group are directly refuted by this response.
Following their indictment by the District Court for the Southern District of New York, the troubled businessman and his suspected co-conspirators are being considered for extradition to the United States. Via its embassy in Accra, the US Department of State formally requested extradition.
