No BBL here: Wendy Shay denies rumors of surgery and affirms that her body is entirely natural.

Wendy Shay, a singer from Ghana, has vehemently denied the pervasive rumors that she had a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), stating that her curves are “100% natural.”

The “Too Late” singer urged body shamers and critics who keep speculating about her body transformation to stop doubting the inherent beauty of African women in a daring and open post on X (formerly Twitter).

The award-winning singer made these comments in response to increasing online rumors that she had cosmetic surgery.

Wendy emphasized that African women have always been naturally curvy—long before BBL procedures became common on the continent—and that her figure has only changed as she has put on weight in the “right places.”

Wendy argued that such presumptions disregard Africa’s rich legacy of natural beauty and questioned why society is so quick to assume that every curvy African woman has undergone surgery.

So y’all want to tell me before BBL Africans didn’t have a natural shape like mine? What’s with this BBL tag… Is it because I have gained at the right places? You all should get a life and stop being naive.

What you are seeing is 100% natural, and it is not my fault you all didn’t realise it earlier because of the bullying when I stepped into the game”.

”I’ve got it since! Clearly, humans will always have something to say. It’s either your booty is too big, too small, or too fake. Mind your business! Africa, Wake Up!”
