Kalsoume Sinare, Kojo Bonsu, and thirteen other people are named Ghana’s new ambassadors by Mahama.

In the first diplomatic appointments his administration has made since taking office in January 2025, President John Dramani Mahama has announced the nomination of 15 people for ambassadorial and consular posts.
Following lengthy discussions with the Council of State, the nominations were formally announced in a letter sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Office of the President on June 10, 2025.
Actress Kalsoume Sinare, a well-known personality in Ghana’s entertainment sector and Ghana’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, is one of the notable nominees.
Ghana’s ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil will also be Nii Amasah Namoale, a former member of parliament for the La Dadekotopon constituency who has a wealth of political experience and proven organizational skills.
It is expected that this appointment will improve Ghana’s economic and diplomatic ties with the biggest economy in Latin America.
