Black Sherif argues that he doesn’t purchase phony streams.

Black Sherif, the Ghanaian music sensation, has vehemently denied claims that he falsifies streaming figures in order to increase his online visibility.
The Second Sermon and Soja hitmaker strongly refuted the accusations, calling them “baseless and deeply insulting” and claiming that his accomplishments are the product of sincere effort and true artistic integrity.
With the release of his second album, Iron Boy, Black Sherif is currently experiencing great success, and his impact on the world music scene is only growing.
Currently, six Iron Boy songs are in the top six on Ghana’s Top 100 charts on Boomplay and Apple Music. In addition, the album had a strong international debut, peaking at number six on Spotify UK’s Top Debut Albums and ranking number ten on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Since its release, Iron Boy has also received over 80 million streams on Audiomack.
Notwithstanding these noteworthy accomplishments, some critics have implied that Black Sherif’s quick ascent may have been fueled by fraudulent means. However, on Monday, June 9, 2025, the artist denied these allegations in an exclusive interview with Graphic Showbiz.
”, Honestly, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. My success is 100 per cent organic. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into every note, every lyric, and every performance”
He continued by attributing his expanding fan base to “hard work, consistency, and staying true to himself” as opposed to any kind of coercion.
