“Every skill must be mastered in order to be a music producer.” Master Garzy

Benjamin Mensah Garzy, professionally known as Mix Master Garzy, an audio engineer and record producer from Ghana, has offered his insights on what it really takes to be a music producer, emphasizing the value of becoming proficient in all facets of the music-making process.
DJ Slim, the award-winning producer, stated in an exclusive interview with Daybreak Hitz that being a true producer entails much more than simply creating beats.
You must be proficient in beatmaking, audio engineering, and suitable recording techniques before you can call yourself a producer. You must be skilled in writing, directing, mixing, and possibly even singing. Being a full producer includes all of these, he clarified. “Some folks are recording engineers, some are mixing engineers, and some are just beat creators.”
Master Garzy highlighted that his strength is his ability to manage all production stages, which he feels distinguishes him in the field.
“From my perspective, I was lucky to acquire all of these abilities at once, which is why I am ‘Mix Master Garzy,'” he declared with pride.
Additionally, he exhorted aspiring producers to be serious about their work and work toward a complete understanding of their function.
Some people only make beats, but they think they can mix since they can record. “They should learn the difference now,” he stated, advocating for a more methodical approach to music production.
