Sarfo expressed her annoyance at what she called the stagnation of Ghana’s film industry and the ongoing disregard for skilled professionals in a strongly worded Instagram post dated July 15, 2025.
”The movie industry is not progressing, and countless skilled individuals are being wasted due to a severe lack of opportunities and productions”
Her remarks caused a great deal of controversy among industry participants, some of whom thought her evaluation was excessively critical and useless. Several critics questioned her own contribution to the industry outside of her on-screen roles and accused her of inflating the problem to get attention for herself.
Sarfo vigorously defended her position in a subsequent Instagram post on July 20, 2025. She explained that her remarks came from a genuine wish to see the industry flourish rather than being meant to disparage anyone or damage its reputation.
