She can die there; 15 years is too long. Bukom Banku implores Mahama to release Agradaa.

Bukom Banku, a retired Ghanaian boxer, has publicly urged former President John Dramani Mahama to step in and help Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, better known as Nana Agradaa, who was recently given a 15-year prison sentence for defrauding her supporters.
On July 3, 2025, an Accra Circuit Court found controversial person Nana Agradaa, who was a traditional priestess before becoming an evangelist, guilty of defrauding several people under false pretenses.
The court’s decision to find her guilty and sentence her to 15 years in prison has generated a lot of public debate.
While acknowledging the gravity of Agradaa’s offenses, Bukom Banku bemoaned the sentence’s length and begged Mahama to grant him mercy by considering a pardon.
Agradaa, you are always getting into trouble. A beautiful woman like you, yet you keep taking people’s money and hiring macho men to intimidate them. You even come on social media and brag about how wicked and dangerous you are
He went on.
Ghanaians have largely applauded the decision as a brave stand against exploitation and fraud. The sentence has been widely praised by the public as an essential deterrent against similar fraudulent religious activities.
Bukom Banku, however, feels that the excitement surrounding the sentence is unwarranted and implies that Agradaa could die as a result of the harsh punishment.
If she were your mother or father, you’d be pained too. So, Mahama, as the father of the nation, I’m begging you, please look into her matter for me, or else she can die there
